We are excited to announce the launch of The Giller Book Club. From now until September 2021, we will be featuring the books from the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist and invite you to read along with us!

What We’re Reading Now

From June 15, 2021 to July 5, 2021 we are reading the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize shortlisted novel, The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel. On July 5, Merilyn Simonds, Canadian writer will interview Emily virtually.

To coincide with this month’s book, we will focus on the theme of scheme.
These stories can be fiction or non-fiction and can be a maximum of 500-words.

We will choose a select number of these stories to share on our website, email newsletter and social media channels throughout the month.

Please note that if your story is chosen, we may share it on our social media channels, website and email newsletter. By submitting a story you agree to this.

We recommend using a program/app on your computer or phone and paste it into the form.

Everyone is welcome to join The Giller Book Club. We encourage you to sign-up for our book club mailing list to receive updates. To attend the live talks with the authors, you must register to attend.

Each month we will introduce a new theme that coincides with the book we are reading. We welcome all book club participants to get their creative juices flowing by submitting a fiction or non-fiction story based on the theme. These stories are to be no more than 500-words. If your story is chosen, we will share it on our social media channels, website and email newsletter.
