I hope your summer so far has been brimming with fun, sun, family, friends and of course, lots of reading! Nothing better to nourish the soul than a book during these long and gorgeous days of summer. Find a tree and read under it. Go to a beach and read on the sand. Visit a patio, and read over a glass of wine.

We’re here to help you choose something great to read to accompany you wherever you go this summer. We’ve compiled a list of more than 100 titles by Canadian authors on our website called Craving CanLit. This list includes all books published in Canada between October 2021 and September 2022. Take a peek and make your selections. We’d love to know which of these titles you’ve chosen to enhance your summer days.     The 2022 Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist will be announced at The Rooms in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The event will be live streamed on our Facebook channel.
  • Shortlist Announcement – Tuesday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. ET
    The 2022 shortlist will be announced at The Jack Rabinovitch Reading Room at the Toronto Reference Library. Tune in to the live announcement on our Facebook page.
